Playing In The Park!!!

Hi Everyone,
The other day, we brought Bauer to an off leash dog park. This park had a pond, bicycle paths, large grassy areas, an "exercise" playground, and a lot more things. The dog run was a HUGE fenced in area with lots of grass and tables for us to sit at. We must have been there at a good time because there were lots of other dogs to play with. Bauer met a lot of friends!!! But he didn't like to play fetch because it was a REALLY hot day (we all wanted to stay in the shade). We traveled with Bauer to the West Coast Park in a taxi. Not all taxi drivers will allow dogs in their taxi because of their religion. We played frisbee but didn't think to pack a picnic. Maybe next time...

Poor Baby Gecko

Hello Everyone,
The other day I was looking out my window and noticed something stuck on one of the Gel-Gems.  I think, Oh, it's just dirt or something and was about to flick it off.  Then I realized that it was a tiny baby gecko!!!  It wasn't just dead!, but it's skin had worn off.  I started to panic.  It was a small petal of the flower Gel-Gem so when I picked it up, my thumb was almost touching it.  I ran out to show my Mom and Dad. We think it must have crawled on, and it's feet got stuck (because the blazing sun outside melts the Gel-Gems), it died, then it's skin wore off.  It is really disgusting but sad at the same time.  O'connor's, if you are reading this, yes, it one of the Gel-Gems you gave us that killed that poor baby gecko.

Home for Holidays and getting Jane off to Switzerland

To all our family and friends,

It was really terrific to be back in the US for the holidays. We were truly overwhelmed by our welcome. The kindness of all our family and friends showed by preparing our house, bringing over treats, stopping by for visits and inviting us to their homes was simply amazing. I speak also for Evan, Jane and Leah who enjoyed every minute with their good friends. It seemed like we hardly saw them while we were home!

We made it safely back to Singapore and are currently dealing with the jet lag. However, it seems it is better than when we arrived in the US. Of course, we are minus one here in Singapore as Jane has made it over to Switzerland for her "Winter Term". We are so excited for her and were pleased to get an email that everyone made it safely. Included in the email was the picture attached here.

For those of you who would like to follow her time in Switzerland, there is a website which will be updated weekly with a posting from one of the students and pictures. Right now the postings are still from last year, but it should be updated by the end of this week.

The website is:

Just click on the "Daily Log" or "Photo Log" on the left.

We are already looking forwarding to seeing many of you this summer. Enjoy the rest of the winter while we sweat here in Singapore!
